The great thing about a creative film & video workspace is that you don’t need much space, but it needs to be organized. You don’t want to be tripping over cables or struggling to find your tripod while trying to hit record. Create a designated space for filming—whether it’s a cozy corner, a whole room, or even a bit of the kitchen table (no judgment, we’ve all had those late-night shoots).

Take it from me—space planning is everything. I once filmed an entire segment while trying to avoid knocking over a stack of books, a coffee mug, and a toddler’s toy. Spoiler alert: it didn’t go well. The moral of the story: your studio should be free of distractions. Keep it clutter-free, and ensure all your gear is easily accessible. You’ll thank yourself when you’re in the middle of filming and don’t have to frantically search for that missing adapter.
